I have been teaching in the Special Education field since 1980. I have taught in the states of Georgia, Ohio, Florida, and Alabama. I have been at Holtville Middle School since January 2003. I have training in Techniques for Effective Aggression Management and have previously been a Crisis Intervention Teacher. My experience ranges from grades five through twelve. I am currently working with seventh and eighth graders at Holtville Middle in inclusion classes.
I was born and raised in Montgomery, a graduate of Robert E. Lee, class of 1976. After graduating high school, I enrolled at Auburn University. I graduated from Auburn with a bachelor's degree in special education. I taught in the DeKalb County, GA public school system for eight years. I then married and moved to Ohio, where I taught high school for three years. From there, I moved to Florida, teaching there for ten years. I moved back to Alabama in 2001. I began teaching at Millbrook Middle/Jr. High, then transferred to Holtville in January of 2003.
